Fullsail is the name of the NBSC’s overarching capital markets development initiative. Fullsail  facilitates the creation of infrastructure required to develop and support emerging, growing and on-going businesses and by combining our efforts with New Brunswick’s capital markets stakeholders’ efforts. 

The implementation of the Fullsail initiative’s mandate is achieved through four strategic pillars, which provide the foundation for all capital markets activity in the province. 

PILLAR 1 - Research
Ongoing research is key to providing valuable knowledge and credible advice to policy makers and those who develop programs for the capital markets. Research will continue to be a priority for the NBSC Fullsail initiative as it strives to understand and bring forth best practices to enhance access to capital markets. 

PILLAR 2 - Education
Educational programs, resources and events are offered through the Fullsail initiative to improve the awareness of capital raising options and securities regulation and to offer opportunities for idea-sharing and networking for small and medium enterprises and individuals. 

Learning the Ropes
Learning the Ropes is the education arm of the Fullsail initiative. Learning the Ropes works to build awareness and understanding of the basics of securities regulation, financing and raising capital. These programs are delivered each year to various communities around the province in both French and English. 

Online Resources
Visit the Links, Research and Raising Capital sections for educational tools and information for companies of all sizes in all stages of growth and for those who support them; lawyers, accountants, and others. 

Publications
The NBSC also produces and supplies brochures related to developing the capital markets in New Brunswick. Visit the Resources section for a list of brochures available. 

PILLAR 3 - Action
Taking action is fundamental to developing New Brunswick solutions to increase access to capital for New Brunswick businesses and individuals. The Fullsail initiative takes action by consulting with key influencers to identify perceived and real barriers to raising capital. Action will be taken through one-on-one engagement, focus groups or larger facilitated working sessions. Please refer to our calendar for upcoming Fullsail events.

PILLAR 4 – Progress Reporting
The NBSC will report to stakeholders on the achievements of the Fullsail initiative through events, the publication of quarterly Making Headway newsletters, the Annual Report and regular capital markets email updates to those who subscribe to the service. 

Fullsail events are a forum to: meet with capital markets stakeholders; fulfill stakeholder information needs; celebrate successes; report back on the work stakeholders and the NBSC have done; inspire stakeholders to action; and hear from subject matter experts with a view to advancing knowledge.
